A Day in Transit
Today is a day of transit. From Munnar to Kochi by road. From Kochi to Bangalore by air. From Bangalore to Talaguppa by rail, which will happen in 2 hours from now. Phase one of my three-leg trip is over. Phase two begins tomorrow. No photography today. A day with plenty of time in hand to observe people.
Seeing Bangalore railway station after more than a decade and I am very impressed by the amenities and the food options for vegetarians. The station operates lounges, charging Rs 30 and 45 for the first hour in the non-AC and AC rooms. I have not seen this in any other railway station. The rooms are spotlessly clean. I am in fact writing this blog post from the lounge. A model that can be profitably emulated by other railway stations across the country.
Vayu Vajra bus service from Bangalore airport to railway station was also impressive. It took exactly an hour to cover the long distance in evening rush hour.
Last 3 days had been fantastic. Keralam always delights my senses in a very unique way.
