Mongolia in Ten Bullet Points
11 days after returning from Mongolia, I am still struggling to put up a decently descriptive post. Most probably because of the overwhelming visuals I have brought with me in my camera - more than 2400 images and videos (20 GB).
Let me give you a snapshot of Mongolia in 10 bullet points
Let me give you a snapshot of Mongolia in 10 bullet points
- Incredibly blue skies
- Vast expanses of land without a single tree
- Extremely windy
- Too many animals and very less people (outnumbered by a factor of 20)
- Nomads who live in Gers
- Excellent roads (where available)
- Great road discipline (both by drivers and pedestrians)
- Buddhism (a remarkable Indian legacy)
- Chinggis Khaan, a revered figure.
- A country reinventing its identity and carving out a niche.
